Mission Statement

"And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, all power is given unto me in heaven and earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

Great Commission-Mathew 28:18-20 KJV

Rev. Renandez Grim

Renandez Grim was born March 13, 1960, in a warm and loving foster home in Los Angeles, California. Renandez’s birth mother was approx- 14 years of age and was not able to provide a stable home for her newborn son, so she lovingly allowed Celestine and Relise Grim to raise him and call him their son.

Renandez Grim was a very energetic little boy and always wanted to work. His mother owned a café named K and K restaurant where he took on the role of taking out the trash, sweeping the lot and sometimes delivering hamburgers to the nearby neighbors. His dad owned a rubbish company and he rode with his dad every Friday and Saturday and helped his father push heavy trash bins and break down cardboard boxes. Renandez loved to help others and learned to use his high level of energy productively.

The family moved to Inglewood in the late 60’s, where he attended Daniel Freeman Elementary School, Crozier Jr. High, La Tijera Jr. High and graduated from Inglewood High School in 1978.

At the age of 21, he answered his call to preach the gospel good news of Jesus Christ. He was and is faithful to his calling and never refuses to preach, teach or exhort his brothers or sisters in Christ Jesus. He was licensed to preach after his trial sermon entitled “Which way is up” in 1981 and ordained in 1989. He served as an associate minister under Dr. Donald Gardner, Pastor Wiley Sapp, Pastor Willie Smith, and currently serves under Dr. J.B. Hardwick of Praises of Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Los Angeles, California. He served as pastor of First Sweet Home Baptist Church for 17 years and is now the humble pastor of Good Shepherd Missionary Baptist Church of Los Angeles, where he has served now for 5 years.

Renandez Grim graduated from the University of Phoenix with his master’s degree in Counseling. He received his undergraduate degree from Cal State of Los Angeles (CSULA) in Sociology. Renandez Grim has several years of seminary bible training under Dr. Degeddingseze III., Dr. T.M. Chambers Jr. and Dr. P.J. Jones. These great preachers served as his mentors and professors at the Western Theological Seminary of Compton California. Renandez was also enrolled under the late Dr. E.V. Hill Sr. where he received certificates of completion in Evangelism, Soul Winning, and Church growth.

He is currently a member of the Western Baptist State Convention under Dr. J. B. Hardwick. In the Western Baptist State Convention, he has held the office as Praise Leader Coordinator, Executive Officer of the New Landmark District under Dr. Marvis Davis, and has supported the December week of Christian Congress of Education in Palm Desert, California for the youth.

Renandez is married to the adorable, intelligent and caring Rebecca Eve Grim. They have been married for 14 years and love every moment that they spend together. They have been through many trials and tribulations together and have grown stronger in the Lord through it all. Renandez and Rebecca are the loving grandparents of 4 grandchildren.
